Rodney Fielding, Board of Directors Treasurer
Mr. Fielding, a California native, began his Information Technology career with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer / United Artists Pictures, Inc. He quickly moved up the ranks, and was promoted to Branch Systems Specialist where he designed and installed branch networks around the world. After leaving MGM, Mr. Fielding began working for the Federal Government. He quickly realized that IT Security was a big problem, and began specializing in that field. With over 22 years in securing and auditing some of the largest Federal IT Financial Systems in the Government, Mr. Fielding brings a well balanced IT Security philosophy to our team; ensuring our financial IT systems are secure and compliant.
Rochelle Nelson, Board of Directors
As a diverse medical professional, Ms. Nelson is the newest member of our team and has entered with an open mind and a thirst for knowledge. She is very comfortable getting out of her comfort zone expanding her understanding of new structures and organizations. One of her biggest strengths is that she will ask the often overlooked questions, and simplify answers to any problems. Ms. Nelson attained her degree in Science, and now works as a clinical nurse manager. She is very straight forward and to the point, and accustomed to stressful situations in her line of work. Ms. Nelson brings the “calmness ” and “heartfelt spirituality” that makes the company so great.
Scott Berkshire, Attorney at Law & Auditor
Mr. Berkshire is the seasoned, professional, silver-tongued ruler of the courtroom that you definitely want on your team. He is always calm, collected, organized, and has a calming aura about him that makes others slow down. We sometimes like to think of him as the team psychologist. He attended Georgetown University, where he got his law degree and has an outstanding track record of cases under his belt. Mr. Berkshire’s specialty is breaking down and interpreting the IRS tax code so anyone can understand it. He brings the “wisdom and confidence” you definitely want on your team.
Cherneda Haslem, Board of Directors Secretary
Mrs. Haslem’s roots stretch from Mississippi. She served honorably in the U.S. Army and strived for success. Understanding how important education was, she studied alongside Dr. Wilson, and obtained her bachelors in accounting. Later, she continued further to receive her Master’s in Business Administration. Currently, she works for the Federal Government under the Department of Defense as a Government Purchase Cardholder and IT Specialist. Mrs. Haslem also diligently volunteers at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, providing bookkeeping and accounting services to their financial department. Her contributions to her careers and education have proven her to be successful at strategic thinking, supervisory skills, experience to conduct business in a fast paced environment, and the ability to work as a member of any team. Mrs. Haslem adds the “business” mindset and organization that Accounting 4 Cents, Inc. needs.
Jennifer Andrews, Auditor
Ms. Andrews is the right hand of Accounting 4 Cents. She grew up in New Jersey, and quickly got her bearings in the accounting world. She attained her Masters of Professional Accountancy from Penn State, and went to work for a medium sized auditing firm in Pennsylvania. When she relocated to Virginia in 2012, she came to work with Dr. Wilson at Accounting 4 Cents, Inc. As an auditor, she understands what the IRS and banks want to see from any company. She has the ability to turn chaos into function with ease. Mr. Wilson calls her the modern day Marry Poppins of accounting, with heels and a skirt. Ms. Andrews brings the “calming spirit” needed to comfort our clients, and reassure them that we will take care of them.
Jim Katashi, International Accountant
Mr. Katashi was born in Japan, and came to the U.S. with his parents when he was only three years old. Being a well-traveled kid worked to his benefit, as he is very diverse in money from all over the world. After graduating college, Mr. Katashi spent years working for a wealthy family in Europe. He works hard for the money, and fast. He can crunch numbers by the billions, and be accurate to the dollar! His B.A.S.I.C. needs approach to business has been adopted by everyone at Accounting 4 Cents, Inc. Mr. Katashi brings the “experienced diversity” we have all learned so much from.
Ronald "Ray" Wilson, Chairman & President
Dr. Wilson grew up in central Virginia, and left home at 18 to serve in the U.S. Navy as a OB/GYN Corpsman. While on active duty, he became a certified tax specialist, and prepared free returns for service members. When he was medically retired, he continued his education, eventually earning his Doctorate in Accountancy at the George Washington University. He's prepared tax returns at H&R Block, worked with the IRS under VITA, worked from a staff accountant to a CFO, and even became an Ordained Minister. In 2012, he decided to take a chance on himself, and opened the doors of Accounting 4 Cents, Inc. He earned the trust of a few professional athletes and high net worth individuals. As a man of God, a scholar, and a philanthropist, you can expect honesty, respect, and compassion from him at all times. Dr. Wilson brings the "perpetual strength" that sets the firm's momentum.
